Glimpses

Glimpses offers an excellent solution for writing down notes or keeping a journal. It lets you organize your entries by date, tag them and mark them as favorites, so you can easily keep track of them. What's more, the application is capable of synchronizing everything to Dropbox, so you will always have backups of what you write and you can have your notes available wherever you go.

Downloading and installing Glimpses can be done in under a minute. The installation process doesn't involve any complicated settings and you don't have to install any prerequisite tools or services. Furthermore, you can use the application on any modern Windows platform, without sacrificing too many resources.

The user interface has a clean and simple design, which allows you to start writing your journal entries right away. Entries are displayed in a list, along with their creation dates and you can view their contents in the larger area on the right side of the window. To start writing a new entry, you simply need to click a plus icon. The application lets you add a title and tags to each entry and you can also attach images.

You can navigate through different sections of the interface via navigation tabs, located on the left side of the interface, if you wish to view all images attached to your entries, a calendar, with marked dates, favorite items, tags and a few general settings. When you create a new journal entry, the application will assign the current date automatically, but if you want to create an entry for another date, you can just click that date in the calendar section.

As previously mentioned, the software can synchronize everything to Dropbox. For this, you will have to log into your Dropbox account and allow the application to integrate when you run it for the first time. A single click is all it takes to upload all your journal entries, after which you can find them neatly organized in your Dropbox folders.
